DSNEWS —First-Time Buyers Giving Housing Market a Boost. “Zillow’s Consumer Housing Trends Report revealed that for the first time since the pandemic began, the number of first-time homebuyers has rebounded as these buyers now represent 45% of all buyers, up from 37% last year. In today’s shifting market, this data shows that first-time buyers are able to overcome affordability challenges, positioning themselves to take a larger slice of market share.”
DSNEWS—Q3 Foreclosure Rates ‘Reflecting Other Aspects of the Economy.“ATTOM has released its Q3 2022 U.S. Foreclosure Market Report, which shows there were a total of 92,634 U.S. properties with foreclosure filings—defined as default notices, scheduled auctions or bank repossessions—up 3% from Q2 and 104% year-over-year. There were a total of 31,836 U.S. properties with foreclosure filings in September 2022, down 8% from August 2022, but up 62% from September 2021.”
