1 Year Old and 5k Participants Strong
The ADvantage Loyalty Program recently hit its first anniversary amid a slew of improvements and new features that help our partners to leverage their success. Rewards include premium benefits like waiving underwriting fees, rate lock extensions, and special events at the AD Mortgage main office. These features and more are a big reason the program now has 5,000 participants.
ADvantage program is AD Mortgage’s way of rewarding its partners with points for their activities. These include closing loans, getting/keeping educated on AD products and programs, and keeping in touch with us through social media. Also, there is the new Statuses system for our company partners that add tons of additional rewards.
ADvantage and the Power of Yes
ADvantage allows AD Mortgage partners to accumulate points and then redeem them in order to better serve their clients. This system falls directly in line with AD Mortgage’s core belief in working together – borrower, partner, and mortgage lender – to help achieve the Dream of homeownership.
That is exactly what the program is doing. Take a story that Sam Gabay and Merit Lending recently shared with us, for example, about how the ADvantage Loyalty Program exemplifies the Power of Yes.
“We just did a loan for an elderly lady who was buying a new apartment in a senior community with her dream view. She already owned an apartment, and it was for sale but not sold yet.
For her to buy this new apartment, she was really scraping resources together, and we were down to within a couple hundred bucks, enough money for the down payment and close. All her retirement, everything she had to make this happen while her current primary residence sells, but we were just a little bit shy on the debt to income (DTI).
So, I had to call her and tell her we needed to pay off her American Express to make the deal work, and she just didn’t have it.
It was about $1,500. We were that close. I said, hey, you know, I’ve got these loyalty points, and I’m going to waive the underwriting fee of $1595, and we now had enough cash to close because we were able to eliminate that fee and close the deal.
And she got the home of her dream.”
ADvantage Unlocking Value
Stories like Sam’s are becoming increasingly common, due in large part to the vision of AD Mortgage to build a loyalty program that truly aligns with the core values of the company. It also took resources, patience, and some remarkable AD Mortgage team members to bring ADvantage online and then grow it over the past year.
A central member of that effort is El Klepfer, AD Mortgage Project Specialist. El and her team have worked diligently to create an easy-to-use platform for AD’s partners. Constant analysis, feedback, and improvement have been in play for ADvantage from its inception, but these adjustments continue with a plethora of new features.

El also hosts a regular webinar to welcome new members to the ADvantage Loyalty Program where she demonstrates all the functionality and gets new members up to speed on viewing their progress and utilizing its features.
‘With other Loyalty programs, a person often needs to go through a lengthy registration process and provide additional data, which is why some of our partners may think that it takes time and effort to become an ADvantage member. The reality is – the only thing you need to do is access your AIM Partner Portal and enter your ADvantage account, and just like that you’re already earning rewards!’ El shared.
The early success of the program is evident in the numbers. ADvantage members have earned 28 million points off over 6,000 loans. The program now has 5,000 active members who have redeemed over 800 rewards.
El added her observation of the development of the program. ‘The best thing I witness with each new release is matching our partners’ needs and interests with AD’s possibilities. Most of what you see in our available redeeming options was either inspired by or directly based on our partners’ feedback and suggestions. It’s always a great victory for us every time we’re able to accommodate these expectations smoothly and with ease to our partners.’

‘It’s All About the Clients’
We reached out to some of our most successful members of ADvantage to understand how they utilized the loyalty program in their business and what they liked best about it.
Lucky Singh and Jas Singh are the founders of LJ Mortgage Team Inc. in Queens, New York. They joined ADvantage as soon as they learned about the program. They’ve been earning points and using those points to help them close loans ever since.
Jas is quick to point out that they use their points all for their clients. ‘We just want to make sure the clients are happy. And it makes sense. We want to win files, and you guys (AD Mortgage) are doing a great job of doing that.’
Recently, LJ Mortgage Team cashed in some points to help close a loan with an important client. Lucky explained how redeeming points for waiving the underwriting fee helped them close a deal and earn a big client. ‘I told the client what we could do with the points and save him $1500-$1600 with the fee waived. You know, he was blown away. We closed the file because of that, and that client has since provided us with 6 more files.’
Creating a Positive Closing Cycle
Sam Gabay (@samgabay) works with Merit Lending, which is based in Las Vegas. Sam has the distinction of earning the most ADvantage Loyalty Points in the program’s inaugural year with well over 140,000 (and still growing).
Unlike Jas and Lucky, Sam wasn’t quick in getting started redeeming his points. He had joined the program early on but hadn’t paid it any mind. He shared his epiphany with us.
“My AE Renzo told me about this program about a year ago and I had all these points, but I didn’t really pay much attention to it. And the points just kept accumulating and one day I needed a lock extension and Renzo suggested I just use my points. I cruised through the menu and thought, ‘Wow! Look at all this stuff.’”
Sam explained that he now monitors the loyalty program regularly and redeems his points often to help in getting his clients to closing. He astutely points out that the points help close his deals, which in turn earns him more points that he then uses to close more deals. A very positive cycle.
His four favorite features to redeem are the rate lock extensions, the appraisal fee credit, pushing closing for the same day, and best of all, the waiving of the underwriting fee for Non-QM deals – a $1595 value currently.
