Milestones and How They Work
Milestones are the key stages a loan passes through on its way to closing:
- Disclosures Sent
- Submitted for UW
- Initial CD
- Clear to Close
- Closing
Each milestone contains a checklist of specific tasks that need to be completed before the loan can move forward. A progress indicator shows progress for each milestone. Completed tasks have a green checkmark, and any task that isn’t available yet comes with a tooltip explaining when it will unlock. Everything is visible at the top of every loan page in AIM, starting from the “Started” status. Just hover over any milestone at any time to see the tasks required to complete that stage.
Think of AIM interactive Milestones as a shared roadmap: one that you, your borrower’s file, and the AD Mortgage team all navigate together – with no guesswork involved.

Who Has Access to Milestones?
The feature is available to all Wholesale and Correspondent Plus partners working through the AIM Partner Portal. Milestones are active across all eligible loans, starting from the moment the loan is initiated.
