The Mortgage Pros Who’ll Win in 2027 – What Do They Have in Common?

June 18, 2026
Promotional blog cover announcing the new survey by AD Mortgage, devoted to skills that drive mortgage professionals' success.

Careers in the mortgage industry are becoming harder to predict. Our Mortgage Professionals Pulse Report showed that in 2025, the strongest professional results came from client satisfaction, regular development, and technology adoption. However, the industry keeps shifting, and what worked last year may not be enough for 2027.

So, what moves the needle? Is it skills, tools, habits, relationships, or something else?

AD Mortgage aims to find out. We’re launching a new industry research project – Mortgage Pros 2027: What Skills Drive Success – and we want to hear from you.

“Every market cycle reshapes what it means to be a good mortgage professional. We believe the mortgage industry is going through one of those moments, and we think it’s worth asking those on the front lines what they are experiencing.” Max Slyusarchuk, CEO and Founder of AD Mortgage.

What the Survey Covers

The survey asks mortgage professionals across various roles (brokers, business owners, underwriters, and others) to reflect on where the profession is heading and what it takes to stay ahead. It covers:

  • How your role has changed over the past years
  • Which skills matter most for success in 2027
  • How AI and automation are reshaping day-to-day work
  • What separates top performers from everyone else
  • Where and how you invest in professional development

The survey takes three minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous.

A Thank-You for AD Mortgage Partners
